In life, we are made of layers—moments of joy, chaos, growth, and healing. My latest artwork series explores these very layers, inspired by the beauty found within complexity and imperfection. I’m excited to share a few of my paintings along with some pleasant and exciting news. January, I’m “Artist of the Month” at Sweetwaters Shops at Creekside located at 13030 Preston Road, Ste 100, Frisco, TX. This is so exciting because I hope to inspire other emerging artists to get out into the world and share your art; even when you feel like you’re not good enough, share with the world and stop hiding. Definitely should write about that one, one day. You are good enough!
I digressed. LOL! Anyhoo, each brushstroke in this series tells a story of resilience, much like the layers that define us as individuals. Some pieces were born from my personal recovery journey after my stroke in 2021, a time that taught me to embrace the chaos and uncover strength I didn’t know I had. Art became my therapy, art IS my therapy, it became my voice, and my joy.
The theme of this series is not simply about struggle; it’s about transformation. Just as petals unfold to reveal a bloom, we, too, peel back layers to discover our beauty and resilience.
This series encourages you to pause, reflect, and see yourself in the art—whether in the bold energy of the colors, the intricate textures, or the quiet spaces in between.
This year, I’m exploring more. Painting more. Sharing more. And, definitely experimenting more. I’ve not been as consistent in

the past year because of having some major financial setbacks, but I’m hopeful that this year will be 100% better than last year.
Wishing you all a very successful and creative year.
