I've been trying to focus on writing, but I've found myself Lost in silence. This piece titled “Lost in Silence”, is painted with acrylics on canvas board, 8”×8”
Some silences are heavy. They press in, filling the spaces where words once lived, where movement once felt effortless.
After my stroke, I found myself wrapped in that kind of silence—not just in my body but in my mind. The world around me moved forward, yet I often felt frozen, suspended in a quiet only I could hear.
"Lost in the Silence" was born from that feeling today. The darkness in this piece isn’t just an absence of light—it’s the space where emotions settle, where memories resurface, where resilience takes root. But even in the stillness, color emerges. A flower, delicate yet unwavering, grows from the shadows, a reminder that even in the quietest moments, life persists.
Painting this piece felt like stepping back into that silence, but this time, instead of being lost in it, I found something—myself, my strength, my voice.
I hope this small painting speaks to you in its own way. Maybe you’ve known this kind of silence too. Maybe you've found your own ways to bloom despite it.
I’d love to hear what this piece makes you feel. Drop a comment, share your thoughts, or simply sit with it for a while. Sometimes, silence has more to say than we realize. By the way, it's okay to sit in silence.

Peter, 😌 I hear you. Wishing you beautiful days ahead!!!!!
The cool place in the summer heat. Dark and glinty and fresh. That's what it evokes for me today. It's smells too. Nice work.
