This post is beautiful both in word and painting! As one diagnosed almost 2yrs ago with a rare cancerous disease, who wrestles constantly with the lifetime learned construct/ideal of perfection, I SO appreciate your words of encouragement, artistic gifting, and sharing. May all who engage with your art as I just have, be built up, strengthened, and felt known! Thank you!!! 🌸L
Dearest Laura ❤️ thank you so much for your comment. It warmed my heart. As I sit here with tears in my eyes, reading your comment validates why I publicly post as often as I can. I love sharing my journey and artworks. I'm definitely still learning so much, and I embrace this journey with everything within me. Thanks again!!!!
I’m an imperfect bloom that needs to blossom anew. I am a stroke survivor with an interest in learning to paint watercolor. Silencing the inner critic/doubter and accepting the new me is a process I’m working on.
I’m happy to have found you here and look forward to reading/ seeing more. Blessings
Susan, so glad you're here too! With that said, nothing quiets my inner critic better than painting and music. That combination soothes my mind and body. Please let me know how your experimenting with watercolors turn out. Explore. Play. Experiment. Create your own moments of fun and joy. You've got this! 🥰
An imperfect bloom is one of a kind in its beauty. Imperfection mirror our everyday life. I've always avoided handwriting because of its scrappiness. The other day, I noticed that the handwriting of an artist I respect is just as scrappy as mine. Since then, I’ve become more comfortable with my own...
😁 Trust me, I understand. My handwriting is terrible, but I understand it, that's all that matters. Even my art is "different", but I embrace ✨️ it every step of the way. Let's embrace every part of ourselves!! Yes, yes. 🥰🥰 Thank you for commenting.
